Derek Lekha Managing Director of Fame began his professional career as a barber with Brother’s Barbershop in 2004. In 2006, he was hired as Manager of a start-up business, the “Line & Length Barbershop”, located at the Sheraton Mall, where he grew the business from inception to a thriving one. As Manager, he was responsible for operations, including recruitment and training of new barbers. Derek values personal and professional development and has successfully completed courses in Management and Marketing. In 2009, Derek started his own company, Lekha Inc., which leased the “Line & Length Barbershop” franchise from 2010 to 2014.

In 2014, with over ten  years’ experience both as a stylist and manager in the beauty/barbering industry, and in keeping with his vision to enhance the level of service offering in barbershops in Barbados, he Started “FAME the GROOMING CLUB”. To accomplish his vision, he built a team of barbers and frontline employees who shared his desire for quality customer service and barbering excellence. The FAME brand was established.  The artistic décor and amenities are unmatched in any other barbershop on the island, and attract customers from all walks of life looking for a comfortable, enjoyable and physically enhancing experience.

FAME is located at Las Palams, Payne’s Bay. Saint James. The location is strategically situated on one of the busiest streets in Saint James, which is a high-profile area both from a tourism and entertainment perspective, with easy access from all parts of the Island.
